Emilia-Benjamin

Emilia Andrada and Benjamin Galian are Argentine artists trained in the best dance schools and universities in Argentina in theater, contemporary dance, tango and folklore. Dance technicians, graduates of the Etec arts center Paula Souza in São Paulo and directors of the company Charme Tango.

 

They began their training in northern Argentina, where they created their own tango school and the dance group "Ideai Tango". They obtained a scholarship at the international school DNI Tango (Bs.As.), worked as class assistants and danced with the company of the school. They worked in production and as dancers in various companies in Buenos Aires, and in an integrated company in Bolivia, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. They taught at the Rojas Cultural Center of the University of Buenos Aires, at the Casa del Bicentenario of the Ministry of Culture of the Argentine Nation in Buenos Aires and other institutions.

 

They made tango presentations in the “Sala São Paulo”, with the vocalist Renato Braz and in the MASP (São Paulo) in the TEDX event, in the SBT BBQ television program, in the VII World Social Forum on Migration, International Fair in Fukuoka-Japon; among others. they participated as dancers in THEATRO MUNICIPAL OF SÃO PAULO, in the opera "The love sorcerer: the fire and the word", with the Spanish company La Fura del Vals, and in the opera "La Fosca" by Antonio Carlos Gomes, under the Direction of the prestigious Italian Stefano Poda.

 

Residing in Sao Paulo, they developed dance and research projects in the Dance Reference Center of the City of Sao Paulo, such as "Borboleta Tango", "Traversing Worlds", "Tango Scenario", etc. they teach classes, courses and workshops; and they made several presentations with Cia Charme Tango.
